I'm Stevie L., the breeder behind Roughstock Border Collies and Dachshunds located in Newalla, OK. We love this breed and do everything we can to help it thrive. We give each of our dogs and puppies the best care that we can. It is such an honor to preserve the line of these incredible dogs all the while creating companionship for others. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

I was very interested in finding a responsible breeder. I wanted a breeder who did genetic testing to screen for problems common to the breed. Through conversations with Stevie I found that Stevie was very knowledgeable, cared about her dogs and took good care of them. I chose Roughstock Border Collie and Dashunds because Stevie was a thoughtful communicator from the very beginning. Stevie was so responsive and knowledgeable about the breed. +5Good Dog requests a puppy update for the breeder. Adding 5 photos to this site I have since registered "Walker" with the AKC and have received his papers and his pedigree. He will be eligible to enter shows and fun dog events starting this July when he turns 6 months old. Walker was a big hit at the health check at the vets and they can't wait to see him again. He is such a smart sweet little gentleman. Thank you for letting him come live with my.
