Meet the breeder

I'm Stephanie R., the breeder behind Royal Dackel Haus located in Loganville, GA. Our dogs are bred to produce high quality, healthy puppies, with calm dispositions. They are not just part of a breeding program, but part of our family! *note* We do not guarantee the size or color for any of our puppies, as they can drastically change throughout the first year of their lives!

Q. & A. with Stephanie

  • Why did you start breeding?

As a child, I grew up with German Shepherds who would have the occasional accidental litter. I fell in love with the process of whelping and rearing puppies through those experiences. After getting my first mini dachshund at my own home with my own family, I wanted to be intentional about the ENTIRE experience- not just raising loving puppies, but improving their breed through research and science
  • What makes your program special?

I am home with them 24/7, so each puppy and each dog gets my full, undivided attention and personalized care!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, red, chocolate, chocolate and tan, black and cream, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

This was my first time purchasing a puppy from a breeder and I must say this was a great experience. I felt incredibly safe with the website and my breeder was also amazing. Stephanie was available to answer any questions and kept me updated with weekly pictures and videos. My puppy is a little bundle of joy and the perfect addition to my family. Everything was very straightforward and she was very transparent with everything she was doing to make sure puppy was as prepared to go to her new home.

If I could give Stephanie the absolute highest rating, I absolutely would! From the very beginning, she made this entire experience so special. She was always available to answer every question I had, no matter how big or small, and she guided me through every step with so much patience, knowledge, and kindness. Bringing home Beau has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. He is everything I could have hoped for and more so smart, incredibly sweet, calm, gentle, and already such a wonderful little companion. It’s clear that Stephanie puts an incredible amount of love, care, and dedication into raising her puppies. She sent me home with the sweetest, healthiest, and most well-socialized puppy, along with everything I needed to help Beau transition into his new home. You can truly tell that her puppies are raised with love from day one. I’m beyond grateful to Stephanie for bringing my new best friend into my life. If you’re looking for a breeder who genuinely cares about her dogs and the families they go to, I cannot recommend her enough. Thank you, Stephanie, for giving me my best friend. Beau is already so loved, and I will always be thankful for everything you did for us!

Stephanie was amazing to work with! She provided weekly updates with pics and videos both to the site and personally. Her descriptions of Truffle were spot on and he immediately fit right in to our household with another dog and 2 cats. He was clearly well socialized and taken care of. She was generous enough to meet me at the airport for handover and included some thoughtful extras like treats and a blanket with momma dog’s smell on it. Would highly recommend!

My name is Maria, and I picked up my puppy in early April of this year. If you are looking for a breeder who truly cares about both her puppies and their future families, look no further than Stephanie. From the very beginning, she was attentive, patient, and an absolute pleasure to work with. When we brought home our puppy Twix, Stephanie had already done so much groundwork — he responded to his name and was using training pads like a pro. Our vet confirmed that Twix is perfectly healthy, happy, and thriving. He is such a charmer that every time we visit the vet clinic, the entire staff drops everything to fuss over him — we always get him back smelling like a perfume counter! What really impressed me was how well Stephanie understood his personality. She predicted exactly how he would interact with our two adult dogs, and told us that one day he would become the boss of the pack. She was absolutely right. I’ll also admit I was quite particular about the contract and asked endless questions — Stephanie handled every single one with grace and without a hint of frustration. We are beyond happy with our little Twix and deeply grateful to Stephanie for raising such a wonderful puppy. Highly recommend!

I am so happy with the experience that I had with God Dog. At the beginning I was concerned. Then I met Stephanie on line my experience with her was wonderful, she kept me informed with weekly updates and pictures. She spoke to me about her concerns and did not push me into baying she left all up to me. The day of pick I love that’s she took time to explain the contract and she answer my questions and my concerns. The very next day after I brought my baby home at 7:45 she texted me asking how she was and I love that! Thank you Stephanie!
