Meet the breeder

I'm Ashley T., the breeder behind Royal Dynasty Dobermann Kennel located in Aredale, IA. Our focus is breeding healthy puppies with excellent temperaments and conform to the breed standard. We are very hands-on with our puppies and give them plenty of unconditional love and attention! We are a licensed breeder in Iowa. We are a registered kennel with AKC and have been AKC inspected and participate in the Bred with Heart program.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We wanted a protective dog to watch over our property and our boys! I wanted a boxer and my husband wanted a German Shepherd. We decided to get a Doberman after seeing one in person. I had no intentions of breeding, but I loved the elegant look and the loyal, fearless personality of the breed. We loved the experience of raising puppies and continued to grow! They are great loyal family dogs and I enjoy seeing the beautiful dogs they become.

  • What makes your program special?

    All of our dogs come into our home! When we aren't here to supervise, they are in our heated/cooled attached garage. They are never far from us, and the pups grow up hearing and being part of our daily life! My boys ages 9 & 10 love to play and cuddle with the puppies, who often get skateboard or wagon rides! I believe the amount of interaction the receive at a young age gives them a great disposition.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black and rust and red and rust. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Ashley

Ashley has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Ashley partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $1,000 non-refundable deposit and between $3,000 - $7,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Deposit is required to hold a puppy. Pick of the litter (or second, third etc.) goes in order of the deposit received. Price depends on the parents of the litter as well as if ears will be cropped. I offer limited AKC registration on my puppies. Deposit is required as well as signed contract to reserve a puppy.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Royal Dynasty Dobermann Kennel reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Doberman Pinschers.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Deafness and Vestibular Syndrome of Dobermans, DVDobs, DINGS, Alanine Aminotransferase Activity, Dilated Cardiomyopathy 1 (DCM1), Full Embark Panel, von Willebrand Disease III (vWD III), Dilated Cardiomyopathy 2 (DCM2)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Ashley was an absolute joy to work with and I will recommend her to anyone I can, she was super responsive from day one and answered all of my questions (I had a lot of questions haha) and was super informative about pretty much anything and everything you could think of, she definitely knows the Doberman breed through and through. I had never bought a dog from out of state so I was a little nervous with how that would go and rest assured Ashley helped me every step of the way with the best way to get my pup to me. You can absolutely tell she loves these dogs and cares greatly that they go to loving homes. If I ever get another Doberman I will not hesitate to go with Ashley again.

    Royal Dynasty Dobermann Kennel is hands down the best breeder out there! I couldn't be happier with the pup I received as a first time large breed owner. From the very beginning when I first contacted Ashley, she was informative and a pleasure to work with. Ashley also has a website which contains all the relevant information to owning the breed as well as info on her current program. Being able to see other pups from fellow Royal Dynasty Dobermann dog owners was a pleasure and reading Ashley's Good Dog background was thoroughly convincing. It was my first time purchasing a dog through the internet and I was a bit skeptical, but all doubts were cleared with each interaction. My pup was delivered to me in Los Angeles all the way from Iowa! No issue or complications ensued as a trusted flight nanny was secured by Ashely. This speaks volumes as the whole transaction was as professional as can be. The pup I received was a beautiful 16lb Red Dobermman named Kaison. His parents are Tactical Edge Tyne Luka and Ulyana, both with incredible pedigree(I believe Luka descends from another titled Dobermann named Samuel, however this can be verified in one of the lineage links provided on RDDKs website). Kaison is an absolute sweetheart with the face of an angel. His eyes are beautifully almond shaped and his paws are enormous. Kaison's temperament is superb and he absolutely adores being around new people. He is confident in himself and does not pick fights with other dogs even when they bark/growl at him. Things such as fireworks, vet offices, and bathes are no big deal to my beautiful boy, he remains unfazed at whatever life throws at him. I believe the reason Kaison's temperament is so superb boils down to two essential things: 1. Genetics: As proved by Ashley with corresponding paperwork and health tests, her dogs are in fantastic condition. 2. Environment: Ashley mentioned in her Good Dog profile that the pups are brought up on a farm with different animals such as goats and are also socialized with younger humans right from the beginning. This key point is something that definitely reflects later in the pups life as they aren't so wary with new experiences. Kaison has been a lot work, but it is definitely nice to have a solid foundation to build upon. Thanks Ashley!

    I had a wonderful experience working with Ashley and Duston to bring home my new puppy, Raven. They are very knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. The puppies, and parents, have very sweet dispositions, as they are very well socialized with their family and other animals. They have a very nice space for the dogs to play with lots of space and large toys to burn off energy. They met me closer to my home to drop her off to me which was nice. I can tell that they take their stewardship of the breed very seriously and want their dogs to go to great homes. Anyone who is looking for a Doberman would be making a great choice to purchase their dog from Royal Dynasty!
