I'm Morgan & Coty T., the breeder behind Royal Oak Gundogs located in Newaygo, MI. Our dogs are from British field bloodlines. We focus on breeding dogs with high hunting drive, but are also great family companions. They are steady, calm, quiet, and love to work. All of our dogs are in our home and part of the family. They are always up for a good hunt, waterfowl or upland!

Why did you start breeding?
We both grew up with Labs and immediately knew that we needed one when we got married! Our first Lab, Avery, made us fall in love with training hunting dogs. The rest is history! We especially fell in love with British bloodlines and wanted to better the breed by reproducing excellent hunting partners. It is so important to us to breed healthy, happy puppies.What makes your program special?
Our dogs are a huge part of our family! We are breeding dogs that we feel better the breed as a whole. We will only breed dogs that meet our high standards in order to produce healthy puppies with great temperaments.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

"This price includes AKC limited registration, and a 26 month health guarantee for hips, elbows, eyes, and genetic diseases. Deposits for puppies that are already born are non-refundable. Deposits placed for upcoming litters may be refunded."

Litter update on 11 Feb •Puppies are 5 weeks old! They are eating food really well and becoming so playful! They are excellent at keeping their area clean and using their litter tray. Their first vet appointment is scheduled for next week!

Litter update on 24 May 2025 •Puppies are getting big in a hurry! The yellow puppies noses and paws have started to turn black. At the end of next week, we should start seeing some eyes open! We started ENS (early neurological stimulation), and ESI (early sent introduction) this last week! Everyone is doing great ❤️

About Charlie
Charlie is a fire-breather in the field. She is a high drive dog but also has a calm and loving demeanor at home. She is the biggest sweetheart and is a great family dog. In the field, she is quiet, focused, steady and always ready for the retrieve. Charlie’s pedigree speaks for itself with multiple field trial champions. Charlie is 48lbs but has no problem picking up even the biggest of geese.

About Sage
Sage is a hard charging dog with a very athletic build. She is bold in the field and has a ton of natural ability. She doesn’t bat an eye when she encounters something new out training or in the field. She doesn’t require much pressure and handles it well. Her pedigree has multiple dogs we are very fond of. She is closely related to our girl Charlie and shares multiple qualities. Sage is a lover around the house and will never turn down some pets.

About Jenni
Jenni is the sweetest and calmest dog. She has no problem hanging around the house and absolutely loves the cuddle! When she gets out to the field, she has enough drive to run down large crippled geese with ease. She’s also known for taking a quick nap in the blind when hunting is slow. She is the favorite of most of our friends and it’s easy to see why!

Scarlet is a high drive dog who is a team player in the field. She is eager to please and has a gentle temperament around the house. She is unfazed by icy water on a duck hunt and charges headfirst into the thickest of cover chasing pheasants.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Brucellosis
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

+6Royal Oak Gundogs was super responsive, knowledgeable and most importantly easy to communicate and get along with. They really made the entire process easy and stress free. They were willing to meet halfway for pick up and even let us stop by a few weeks early to meet and spend time with the puppy ahead of time. +8Morgan & Coty are amazing breeders and the time and effort they put into raising the pups prior to their go home date, does not gone unnoticed. You can tell they truly care about the puppies and the homes that they go to. Our little guy was already picking up on potty training and basic commands within a week thanks to the effort put in prior to us picking him up. They are always willing to give advice and help with any questions. Gus is a healthy and happy puppy who is so smart and eager to please. We cannot thank them enough for giving us our new best friend!
