I'm Steve R., the breeder behind Rudy Family located in Dublin, OH. We fell in love with Misty's mom, Dixie and got in line for one of her pups in late 2019. We decided to breed Misty to keep Dixie's line going. In February 2023, we met Zaxby (black tricolor) also 45-50 lb), who is also an easy-going Aussie, for a match made in heaven.
Between the lineage, health screenings, the sire and dam's wonderful personalities, and Misty's fabulous delivery of 8 pups in 3.5 hours with none lost, this litter should be high-quality puppies (healthy with good personalities). We love these pups and are committed to finding loving homes for them.
The loyalty and loving disposition of this breed are simply the best! We are putting a great deal of effort into raising this litter to ensure our puppy families will have the best experience raising their new family members.

Breeder-Reported Testing
Great level
Rudy Family reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Australian Shepherds.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
DNA Disease Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
