I'm Cassidy H., the breeder behind Russell Ranch Aussies located in Stayton, OR. More pictures & videos on our Face Book Page! We aim to breed exceptional puppies for others to love. We take great pride in being a trusted program with beautiful dogs! Our dogs have brought so much joy to our lives and we love sharing that with others. Each pup from Russell Ranch comes from healthy, well-rounded parents and is given lots of time to learn, play, and explore. We dearly love each and every dog and puppy we have! We are a mother/daughter duo, and love that we get to share this hobby together! Between the two of us, my daughter has a female, Aspen who has a litter just once a year, and I am located in Alsea with my 3 females, Della, Nola, and Abby. Our dogs come from Champion bloodlines, but we do not choose to show any of ours, rather use them as companions on our farm. All the puppies can be dual registered under AKC and ASCA.

What makes your program special?
This is a mother/daughter program, and since my daughter, Cassidy moved away to Stayton OR, she is still apart of the Russell Ranch Aussie program, however her puppies will have the registered name Alder Creek Aussies.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Parent health testing
Excellent level
Russell Ranch Aussies reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Australian Shepherds.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
DNA Disease Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
