I'm Nannette R., the breeder behind Ryans Nursery/Ryan's Dachshunds located in Brockport, NY. We love this breed and the experience of having litters! Our mission is to raise pups that are set to become the best companions and to breed the very best dogs that we can, to raise them with love, and to select their future homes with careful attention. Why did you start breeding?
We fell in love with the personality and temperament of our mini dachshunds right from the start. We have owned dachshunds for over 20 years and they have brought us great joy! Once you own a dachshund you usually cannot stop at one and you will never want a different breed. We raise our dogs in our home right alongside our family. We love being able to match our puppies with families that are the perfect fit for their personalities.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include longhaired and smooth coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream, red, black, chocolate, and wheaten. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Nannette
Nannette has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $600 - $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes the guarantee, AKC registration, first round of vaccinations, deworming and puppy socialization. The deposit will place a hold on the puppy and full payment will be due prior to delivery.”

Moses is gentle-natured and loves being outside and playing with other dogs. He is a very happy dog that loves to have head pats and chew on bones. Moses is a very calm playful dog who I am convinced that if he was a human he would be Matthew McConaughey. Moses is an African Dachshund so he is breed to have extra soft fur. Moses is AKC registered with all recommended health clearances, including OFA certified hips.

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
