I'm Chris B., the breeder behind Ryder's Roundup located in Buckeye, AZ. We are a very small breeding program with just one male and two females. We plan one liter per year for each female.     Our Dachshund puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Chris

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $1,200 - $4,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

    Chris was amazing. We’ve never worked directly with a breeder before and she showed patience, explained the registration process, and let us spend some time with our puppy before committing. She gave us a goodie bag with some food and treats as well as some new toys and a blanket that smelled like her littermates, which definitely helped the process. Chris actually went the extra mile and helped me with a registration error that I caused, that she definitely did not need to do. I’ve already recommended her to friends and coworkers, mainly because of how responsive, fair, and friendly she was.

    We couldn’t be happier with our new dachshund! From the moment we saw him online, we knew he was the one — and the entire process went smoother than we ever expected. Chris was transparent, responsive, and provided all the information we needed, including giving his vaccination/records, and a sweet little welcome goodie bag with toys, his blanket from his mom and the puppy food he’s currently eating. Our little guy Woody arrived healthy, happy, and full of personality. You can tell he was well-socialized and cared for before coming home.     We found Chris through the Good Dog website, as we were looking for a reputable breeder of Golden Retrievers AND a breeder who hade a puppy available as close to Christmas Eve as possible (my wife and I were hoping to surprise our kids with a beautiful Golden Puppy on Christmas). We live in San Diego and Chris lives close to Phoenix. Her customer reviews were excellent (which is really what we were looking for, especially since we would endure a 6 hour drive to pick up our puppy). Chris was awesome to work with in every way. She was kind, responsive and forthright in helping us select the best of her most recent litter - "Blue Boy". We went on to name him Blu! Chris promised that he was the smartest and strongest pup of the litter and she was 100% correct. She sent me videos and pictures of our pup throughout the two weeks we had to wait (before Blu hit the 8-week old mark). Her communication was excellent and served to really put us at ease that we he chosen wisely! We made the trip to Arizona early on Christmas Eve to pick up Blu. We got to meet Chris and her family. It was clear from our arrival that we had chosen the right breeder. "Blu" was born into a family who loves animals and cares for them greatly. Chris gave us a goodie bag full of items we would need for Blu - his vaccination record, extra food, some treats, as small leash, blanket and a couple toys. We bid Chris farewell and made the trip back home to surprise our kids with this amazing gift! Our family absolutely loves Blu! He has adapted to his surroundings and is providing us with endless joy and laughs. We love Blu like he has been a member of our family for a long time. Thank you, Chris, for providing such excellent service and allowing our family to take home Blu!

    We are absolutely obsessed with our new addition to the family, our mini dachshund, Halo. Chris was so attentive and helpful throughout this process. She updated us weekly with videos and pictures of Halo which we were so grateful for. We could tell the puppies were very well taken care of and socialized. When we picked up Halo she was perfectly happy and healthy and got a going home bag with all the helpful and important things! Our Halo is the most beautiful and well behaved puppy!
