Q. & A. with Mary

  • Why did you start breeding?

As someone who grew up in 4H clubs, I have been around breeding animals my whole life. I did not consider breeding dogs until I became involved with dog sports and obedience. The natural aptitude, sportiness, and biddability of Papillons inspired me to create a breeding program that would focus on promoting those traits.
  • What makes your program special?

Genetic diversity in a dog breed is critical for that breed's survival and overall health. As a breeder, I evaluate COI's to the 10th generation to ensure low inbreeding. All of our dogs are fully health and DNA tested and selected for excellent temperament and solid nerves while remaining within the breed standard. Papillons should be brave and playful; they make excellent training partners!
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
