I recently purchased a mini dachshund from Patricia at Sacred Dachshunds. She was very communicative and helpful. She also kept us up to date with photos of our puppy in the days leading up to our scheduled pickup. Our little Millie is as cute and happy as ever!

Highly recommend Sacred Dachshunds and Gooddog. Patricia was super responsive and worked quickly with me to schedule a time to pick Penelope up in time for Christmas. You can definitely tell Patricia cares about her pups, Penelope was so well taken care of and has settled in nicely! She is adorable and so smart and sweet. We are happy to have found her!

I lost my Vizsla of 15 years at the beginning of December. I got her as puppy while in college in Colorado. She was my buddy, a real character. However, I wasn’t able to take her everywhere with me because of her size along with her being scared of loud noises. As she got older she lived mostly with my parents who lived three short blocks away. It was a heart breaking loss to my entire family when we had to put her down. I knew eventually I wanted to get a smaller dog that I was able to take everywhere with me. I settled on a mini Doxie since a Doxie was the first dog breed I had had as a small child. I found the good dog website and began my search. After realizing I was on the tail end of the puppy cycle I knew I either had to make a decision or wait till spring for the new litters. I’m a farmer and spring time is busy enough with planting and farm work I didn’t want to add training a puppy in the mix. Thankfully I found Patricia in Sacred Heart! There she was (Ivy) now Lily. She looked identical to my Doxie Lacie I had all those years ago. With her half blue eyes I knew she was the one. I reached out and asked Patricia what she was like and was told she’s a playful, curious cuddle bug. I knew she was the one. I’ve had Lily for three days now, I forgot what having a puppy was like. You live on their time weather it be afternoon naps or zoomies at 1:45 am. She’s been such a sweetie and figured out really quick she’s my girl and I’m her boy. I lead a pretty social life and Lily has taken it all like a champ. She loves going places with me, I just stick her in my hoodie pocket and away we go! She’s been to Runnings and Menards and stick’s her head out of my pocket and watches the world as we walk around. She loves meeting people and has a very social personality. At home she loves to curl up in my lap and watch TV. Or play with her dragon. She’s really good about using her puppy pad on tile but has trouble finding it on my carpet. She’s young and will learn the difference. Bed time was difficult night one since she’s so small, curious and brave. We fixed that with a wire crate at the bed level and a night light. She was snoring in 5 minutes on night two. She’s found her forever home and I couldn’t be happier with her. Patricia was great to work with and met me half way so I didn’t have to drive 5 hours to pick Lily up. I could tell she was loved before I got her and she will be loved the rest of her life.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
