Why did you start breeding?
All parents are OFA/penn hip tested , heart tested , genetics and cystinuria tested to do our best in ensuring the health of our puppiesWhat makes your program special?
We currently are actively out at shows in Washington and surrounding states so please feel free to come say hi or reach out so we can do our best to connect . Caitlin has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

“price reflects health guarantee, cardiology, microchip, vaccines , deworming , and raising of pups for 10 week minimum. deposits are non-refundable however are transferable to a later pup from a separate litter .”

About Emmett
Emmett is a male Newfoundland. Carefully selected as a great representative of his breed, Caitlin decided to make him part of their program. Caitlin has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.
Parent health testing
Excellent level
Salish Sea Newfoundlands reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Newfoundlands.
Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
DNA Disease Panel, Cystinuria Type 1A, Newfoundland Type
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
