Meet the breeder

Q. & A. with Megan & Shane

  • Why did you start breeding?

Shane and I share a deep adoration for the Dachshund breed and want to share that with others through our breeding program. We strive to set ourselves apart from other breeding programs by not cutting corners and doing the recommended health testing to ensure to the best of our ability that we are not breeding common health issues for the breed into the puppies we produce in our program.
  • What makes your program special?

We fully health test each of our breeding dogs in accordance with the DCA recommendations, focus on socializing/desensitizing to produce confident & well-rounded puppies, our puppies receive two veterinarian checks & microchip/vaccinations administered by our licensed veterinarian, we pre-register all puppies through both AKC & AKC Reunite for new owners, and provide a generous puppy go-home pack.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
