I'm Sandy V., the breeder behind Sandy's Mini Weenies in Cali located in Rosamond, CA. Our dogs are home raised with love. They are truly our bundles of joy. I use the word “our” because my family plays a big part in raising these puppies. It does take a family to raise happy and healthy puppies. We are a small breeding family raising little dogs for other amazing furever homes.
Q. & A. with Sandy
Why did you start breeding?
Before I got my first Dachshund, I researched the breed to understand the temperament, appearance and health issues. I fell in love with all the good, bad and ugly aspects of this breed. I have had my 2 Dachshunds for over 2 years before I decided to mate them. I felt both male and female needed this time to grow physically and mentally. I needed to know my female was ready to be a mom.
What makes your program special?
I have waited 2 years to insure my dogs were ready to be parents. We are a home raised AKC register 2 dog family. We are raising our dogs as family. We are striving to have healthy, playful, lovable, amazing bundles of joy.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have smooth coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include piebald, cream, black and tan, and gray (blue) and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
