I'm Lucy L., the breeder behind Sausagedog-NYC located in New York, NY. My puppies are raised along side young children. We are a family that loves our Dachshunds and so we spread that love by provided exceptional quality, healthy puppies to other forever families. Our dogs have great temperaments and don’t have any health issues.

Why did you start breeding?
My love and compassion for dogs pushed me to begin hobby breeding. Just like you I was once looking to bring a beautiful healthy puppies home for my kids. The majority of breeders out there only care about making money, you don’t know if you are buying a sick puppy since they don’t let this poor mothers get some rest they have a litter 1 after another. I want to be able to make a difference!What makes your program special?
I am a very responsible dachshund breeder. My dedication to the welfare of my dogs is my top priority, and my commitment to be producing healthy and well-tempered puppies. I am a dachshund owner since 2011. Please remember: Puppies are just babies and should be considered as such. About Luna
Luna is a standard smooth-coated dachshund with a rich, solid red coat. Born on May 2, 2021, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, she overcame a lengthy import process to join us in New York on November 30, 2024. Loving, playful, and exceptionally intelligent, Luna is the ideal dachshund mom. Luna also adores kids and has a gentle, affectionate nature. Weighing 20 lbs post-pregnancy (15 lbs pre-pregnancy), Luna is fully vaccinated and microchipped for her health and safety. She gets along wonderfully with other dogs.

Hi, this Pricilla and Daryl About a week and half ago we purchase a Dachshund puppy from Lucy, she was wonderful throughout the whole transaction and went the extra mile for us to pick Mickey M up. The communication, emails, text and phone calls, all went so well. she answered all our question with Sincerity, Knowlege and very friendly going beyond to extend our pickup date to meet our convenience. We continued sending her pictures and Mickey status going forward Everything was wonderful, except Mickey kept waking up 1-2 times a night, keeping us up most of the night, so I called and asked her what we are doing wrong, I explained what we were doing, we were doing everything wrong. She explains to us what we should. Boy we both slept very well for the first time in over a week. THANK YOU: Also, the costs for MICKEY M, was extremely reasonable, best price online. When it was time to deliver Micah to me, Lucy kept me informed on her arrival time and provided me with food, blankets and a toy.
