I'm Kelly S., the breeder behind Scarlet Oak Aussies located in Powhatan, VA. We are a small hobby breeder of show quality Aussies with a focus on stable family-friendly temperaments. I strive to make sure every owner has the ability to get the very best out of their puppy. Sometimes the most ordinary things can be made extraordinary simply by doing them with an Australian Shepherd.
Q. & A. with Kelly
Why did you start breeding?
I started breeding when I realized how hard it was to find a calm and stable temperament on an Aussie. The breed I grew up loving needed an advocate for healthy good-tempered pups.
What makes your program special?
We aim to produce healthy pups with stable temperaments, not just pretty colors. We also provide life long support to our puppy buyers.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
