Meet the breeder

I'm Donna I., the breeder behind Schnauzers Of Taylor located in Temple, TX. I put a lot of personal care and attention into every puppy. I try to avoid chemical dewormers or flea control, keep my puppy area clear of any toxic cleaners or lawn products and feed a species appropriate diet of veggies and good food. I use early neurological stimulation and scent introduction to provide a dog with superior mental and emotional stability, same program used by the military and therapy dog organizations. Every puppy is raised around my family, other dogs, and are exposed to multiple environments prior to leaving our home. Parents are AKC registered and health tested. I am a minimal vaccination breeder. My adult dogs only receive titers before vaccines. Mini Schnauzers and Mini Schnoodles are sold as pet homes only unless arrangements and special approval are discussed. Mini Schnoodles will have natural tails and dewclaws. Mini Schnauzers may have tails and dewclaws left if picked and paid in full by day 3 of age. We utilize guardian homes for most of our adult dogs and we have whelpers that help us deliver litters. It takes a village to raise puppies right, love the adults as family and provide the best care possible. Holding fees are due in order to hold your puppy. Finial balances are due at 8 weeks either at go home vet check or at pick up. Puppies are required to be paid in full by 8 weeks. If a puppy stays past the date i have set for pick up there’s a $20 per day fee. We are a very small home Preservationist-Breed Specialist so expect to wait for special request our wonderful puppies!!

Q. & A. with Donna

  • Why did you start breeding?

My first schnauzer Pepper was such a joy and blessing for me in my teenage years. I don't think I would of survived them without him. Pepper was bought from a pet store and I remember my parents pulling every last penny they had to buy me this $300 dollar puppy. Little did we know how in love we would be with the schnauzer breed after that. Pepper lived to be 16 yrs old.
  • What makes your program special?

We are a Christian family that loves schnauzers. Loves the breed and sleeps with one or more nightly. I started by only breeding for black miniature schnauzers but have added have added beautiful colors recognized by AKC like salt/pepper, livers or a parti. I guarantee every one of my babies. If you haven't got health and a breeder you can count on, it doesn't matter how beautiful or friendly a miniature schnauzer puppy is. Schnauzers can have many genetic conditions that are often un-foreseen. My goal is to produce the best quality, not quantity. A high quality miniature schnauzer is the combination of the steadfast health, the character with right temperament and the look of a schnauzer. Mini Schnoodles were added about 4 years ago for therapy options. Poodles are my next favorite breed, hypoallergenic and so smart. It only makes sense to have a mix of the best family pet breeds. We do not do this alone. We use guardian homes for our girls so they never have to worry about where they will retire to. We also have guardian homes that help us whelp the litters. Litters are raised by our protocols until weaned and then they come to our home. Holding fees are $800. Holding fees are non-refundable but are transferable to another litter. All finial payments are due at 8 weeks.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Miniature Schnauzer puppies include parti, liver, salt and pepper, black and silver, and black. Schnoodle puppies include parti, gray, black and white, black and tan, black, and apricot. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

She gave us a lot of helpful tips for food, care, and play. I appreciate all she does for these pups and for those interested in adopting. She's the best.

I recently brought home my Mini Schnauzer puppy, and I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience! From the first message to delivery day, Donna was incredibly responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in the health and wellbeing of our puppy Cookie (formerly Luna). If you’re looking for a puppy from someone who truly cares about their dogs, I highly recommend Donna. I’m so grateful for the wonderful start she gave my little one!

We adopted to puppies Paddington and Idéfix. Donna invited us to the vet visit and made sure we understood the process of vaccination and care. We received care instructions for puppy prep weeks before adoption day. We also received helpful tips of supplies to have ready days before adoption. We have been thankful the process was informative and helpful easing the early days of puppy hood times 2. Thank you Donna.
