I'm Diane P S., the breeder behind Seascape Shetland Sheepdogs located in Scottsville, KY. We breed Shelties for all. Conformation and Performance Events as well your wonderful companion at home. We encourage you to do whatever interests you. We are members in the American Shetland Sheepdog Club and Collie Club of America. As a preservation breeder our interest is health, sound Shelties that keep the Sheltie type forever.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include blue merle white and tan, sable and white, black white and tan, blue merle and white, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

Getting a puppy from Diane P

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Diane P partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes 2 sets of puppy vaccinations, microchip registration, AKC Registration, DNA health results, and guarantee for health on anything there is currently a test for. Deposits are only after puppies are spoken for with the intent to bring to your home. At that point non refundable with some exceptions.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel, von Willebrand Disease III (vWD III), Dermatomyositis, Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA), Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
