I'm Darlene I., the breeder behind Serendipitous Dachshunds located in Los Banos, CA. I believe whole heartedly in responsible breeding. The love my family and I have for our dogs is the same kind of love we want for all of our puppies so I strive to find the best furever homes for our four legged fur babies.
Q. & A. with Darlene
Why did you start breeding?
I can’t remember a time growing up where there wasn’t a Dachshund in our home. My parents bred Dachshunds so I was fortunate enough to see them raised and to be around puppies, every kids dream!! Many years later I decided to breed my own dogs only after making sure I learned everything about the breed while obtaining my grooming license. I feel that preserving the breed is so important.
What makes your program special?
I believe whole heartedly in responsible breeding. I strive to find the best furever homes for them. Puppies will go home at 10 wks of age to ensure that they are healthy. They will be vet checked and given their first vaccinations. They will have been exposed to puppy pad training and socialized. Puppies are pet only and limited AKC rights.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream, red, black and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
