Meet the breeder

I'm Brook S., the breeder behind Serenity Labradors located in Cave Junction, OR. We are a small, family owned breeding program of quality, health tested, AKC English Labrador Retrievers. We are located in Southern Oregon. At Serenity Labradors, our goal is to breed and raise healthy, calm and loving puppies. Our dogs are part of our family and live in our home. We raise all of our puppies in our living room where they are socialized by us and our children daily.

Q. & A. with Brook

  • Why did you start breeding?

Ever since I was a child, one of my dreams was to breed Yellow Labradors. I got my first yellow lab, Josie, when I was a teenager and she only made my love for Labradors grow. She was our best friend and part of our family and lived a long happy life. She got to spend a lot of time with my children in her old age which was very special. In my early 30's I finally had the time and resources to research and learn about health testing and breeding labradors. Once I felt that I knew enough to get started as a responsible breeder, I began to search out and find the dogs that I wanted to start my breeding program with. Lola and Sarge were the first two. Now that Sarge and Lola are retired, we have three light yellow English Labradors that will be the future of Serenity Labradors.
  • What makes your program special?

Our puppies are raised in our home with our family. We have three children and we all spend a lot of time with the puppies. Our puppies are raised in a whelping box and then later a bigger pen in our living room. We are proud to raise happy, confident and loving family companions.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Brook was wonderful to work with! She was always quick to respond to any questions I had and she went out of her way to make the process as smooth as possible. We are so thrilled with our puppy. She is smart and has a great personality. She fits right in with our family and so much of that is due to Brook’s knowledge and experience.

Our experience with Serenity Labs and Brooke was so great. She went the extra mile from start to finish. We contacted her on Christmas Day after researching online for the perfect puppy for our family. She responded and even did a video call so we could see him. She updated his growth weekly with photos and info and her whole family helped raise him. You can just see how well they cared for the litter by how well adjusted our puppy is. We couldn't be happier with our new family member "Ace" and how easy the process was with Brooke. He even lets us trim his nails and brush his teeth because of her hard work and planning. If you want to set yourself up for a healthy , calm , and beautiful example of the English Lab, Brooke and Serenity is the breeder. PS Thanks Cleo and Zeus

My wife and I were looking to add two new Labrador Fur-baby’s to our home after mourning our first Labrador fur-baby of 18 years & 4 months (yes! I said 18 years) he had a great life! That being said… we found Serenity Labrador’s on Facebook. We had reached out to Serenity Labrador’s breeder which ended up taking us to the Good-Dog app.
The Good-Dog app was the platform to connect us with Brooke with Serenity Labrador’s. Brook was excellent and very knowledgeable with her trade - Brook was a very good communicator and responded promptly whenever we had questions about the puppies. The use of Good -Dog app and Brook‘s responsiveness made our online experience very physical, and the photos showed a loving relationship between the breeder and the litter of puppies.
Blaze and Black collar (now Blaze & Storm) arrived in good spirit and in excellent heath with shot records up to date and all of Blaze’s & Storm’s papers in order which made it very easy to take to the veterinarian, and continue care as they get older and require further vaccines. Brook reached out to us to make sure the boys were doing good as she had some concern as there is an age difference of approximately two months and one was bigger than the other. We were able to assure Brook that the boys were doing great and loving each other. The younger boy is now as big and going to be bigger!
Working with Brook with Serenity Labrador’s made our online purchase very personal and exhilarating five stars! Thank You very much Brook. Keep breeding great Labrador puppies, and changing peoples lives one puppy (or two) at a time!

We had the absolute best experience working with Brook at Serenity Labradors when we adopted our sweet Poppy (formerly "Purple") recently. From the very beginning, it was clear that Brook pours her heart into raising these puppies. She not only ensures they are well-socialized but also teaches them basic manners, setting them up for success in their new homes. It was evident that every pup was deeply loved and cared for, and we couldn’t be happier with our decision. If you're looking for a Labrador that’s been raised with love, care, and expert attention, we highly recommend getting your puppy from Brook!
