Meet the breeder

I'm the breeder behind Shadey Lane Corgis located in Bland, MO. We are dedicated to always providing our buyers and our puppies with a positive experience, which includes remaining committed to responsible practices when it comes to breeding, training, and rehoming our puppies.

Q. & A. with Alicia

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got into breeding after I bought my second corgi. I had always loved the breed and unfortunately I had a heartbreaking experience with my first 'corgi' he turned out to be a mix which was totally fine. Unfortunately he was from a awful breeder who didn't health test or honestly care for her dogs. Poor Cooper came to me with Parvo. After getting him healed from the parvo he still wasn't well, so we spent almost a year trying to get answers. He was diagnosed with a liver shunt and wasn't a candidate for surgery to correct the shunt. Cooper lived 5 years and was my baby. He required a lot of time, vet visits, special food and medications to survive. Because of Cooper I wanted to make a breed healthy and happy corgis.
  • What makes your program special?

All the puppies and dogs that either live with me or are born here are veiwed as my kids. When you take your puppy home with you, you are joining my personal family and walking away with a peice of my heart. I take every measure to breed happy pups. We do potty training, ENS and socialized the pups along with other activities.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Cardigan Welsh Corgi puppies include brindle and white, liver and white, blue merle and white, brindle merle and white, and black and white. Pembroke Welsh Corgi puppies include white and red and black and tan. American Corgi puppies include brindle and white, liver and white, blue merle and white, red and white, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
