Meet the breeder

I'm Susan R., the breeder behind S.H.A.R.P.’s Toy Poodles located in Mineral Wells, TX. We breed for the best pet qualities in poodle babies, such as being socialized, healthy, happy, loving, & easy going personalities, as well as good genetics & conformation. We are dedicated to providing our buyers & puppies with a positive experience, which include remaining committed to responsible practices when it comes to breeding, training, & placing our puppies.

Q. & A. with Susan

  • Why did you start breeding?

I started breeding Toy Poodles after 3 years of extensive research of the breed & then found & adopted our 1st Toy Poodle, Chrissee. Lots of phone calls with lots questions to AKC & Paw Print Genetics, as well as many reputable Poodle Breeders. If I was going to do it I wanted to do it right & for the betterment of the breed.
  • What makes your program special?

Our babies come from a home environment, NOT a Kennel or yard. Our adults live in our home with us as part of our family & they go on vacation with us, they are NOT boarded. Our adults are Genetic Health Tested through Paw Print Genetics. They are vetted with our amazing vet, Dr. Martin @ Palo Pinto Vet Clinic & spoiled rotten.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are toy size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, apricot, blue, brown, red, silver, silver-beige, parti, phantom, and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Our lovely poodle is easy to train and caught on to potty in pans so easily and it took just 1 day for her to learn to sit and lay down and walk on leash first time. I would buy another poodle from Susan because she is so caring. We love our Domino. We actually drove from Virginia to Dallas to get her. Susan was so generous with supplies and gifts for our puppy’s trip home and her easy transition. We recommend Susan and her puppies. Thank you Susan!

Although I fell in love with Lily I never dreamed I’d fall in love with Susan too. No question was a dumb one and she guided me through the entire experience. Adopting Lily was full of Gods blessings that were meant to be.

Susan was very responsive to my inquiries. I purchased a young adult dog of hers and he is perfect match. She ensured that my pup was healthy before transporting him to me. He came complete with a crate, food, and toys to name a few items. He was crate trained and is overall well-behaved which is attributed to how he was cared for. Susan drove my pup from Mineral Wells to my house in San Antonio which was overly kind. I would highly recommend Susan as a breeder.

Susan is an amazing breeder. She loves the puppies. She shared videos with me so I could see the puppies grow and play. The experience was my first working with a breeder and I could not ask for anything better. I highly recommend Susan.

Susan was amazing!!! I love her! She was responsive, dependable and true to every word she said. They puppy, “Gracie” is fantastic and came with a ginormous puppy pack tha had everything I could think of. Toys, food, kennel, harness, leash and more. I have to admit it felt like a gamble to pay for the pup before seeing it live, but Susan made it easier and I was delighted with my interactions with her. If I needed another puppy, I’d go through her!

Susan was so helpful during the whole process of finding a puppy. She answered all my numerous questions and provided me updates as Bilbo grew. I'm so happy to have this sweet smart boy as a part if my family.
