I'm John E., the breeder behind Sheltie Puppies located in Minnesota. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament with a focus on intelligence, socialization and health. We are dedicated to providing beautiful, healthy puppies to families that can provide a safe and secure environment. We offer a lifetime of support for our families.

Why did you start breeding?
Breeding Shelties started over 40 years ago as a childhood hobby. We've been blessed to continue over 40 years, striving to better the breed.What makes your program special?
Our puppies are very well socialized and transition to their new family very well. We will maintain communication with a puppy's family, to offer support for a lifetime. We raised our dogs and puppies inside the home, and they are with us 24/7. They have a large fenced in area to run outside. Our fence is 120' x 70', within the kennel they are provided with fresh water, and a building to go in.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from John
John has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $300 non-refundable deposit and between $900 - $1,700 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Pepper is a Bi-black, Color Headed White sheltie. She is 15" tall and 20lb. Her personality is very outgoing and loyal. She likes to "talk" and keeps the "pack" in check! She has a beautiful thick coat. She does not have a Merle gene.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
