Q. & A. with Sally
Why did you start breeding?
Our Sheltie program began 21 years ago. Our goal is to raise happy, healthy, well-adjusted puppies along with ensuring that each puppy is matched with a new family that is willing to provide the care and support needed to raise a lifetime pet. We strive to offer knowledge and support to each of our new families to ensure that their new puppy truly becomes a part of the family. 989-283-1191 sheltiepal2023@gmail.com
What makes your program special?
Our pups are home raised. We begin socialization at 2 weeks of age. Each puppy is given individual attention. By the age of 3 weeks, they are exposed to other voices as well as animal sounds and music. At 4 weeks we spend several hours a day with beginning training. Each puppy receives the proper veterinary services at the appropriate time. Every new family will receive a weekly progress report as well as weekly pictures and videos so the families can watch their new puppy grow and develop. At 8 weeks the puppy is ready for his new home. Arrangements are made for a pickup day and time. We are very flexible with the pickup dates and times. On the day of pickup your puppy will be bathed and a gift bag is prepared. Your puppy, on the day they go to their new home will receive his favorite toy, his baby rocking blanket, all AKC paperwork prepared, their transfer of ownership paperwork and a sample bag of his puppy food. We like to reserve at least an hour to spend with each family to talk about the ways to help with the transition of their new puppy and answer any questions which they may have.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are sable and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
