I'm Katherine G., the breeder behind Shepherd Hill Doodles located in Blairstown, MO. I am committed to producing quality puppies that are healthy and beautiful with good temperaments. I believe in breeding as ethically as possible so my breeding dogs are also part of my family and are not kept in a kennel. Parents are DNA tested and puppies have ENS & ESI done.

Why did you start breeding?
I started off as just a dog lover who fell in love with doodles. When I got my Aussie mountain doodle boy Alex I realized he would make such gorgeous babies with sweet and obedient temperaments just like he has. This is my first litter and I’m excited to see what the future holds! I have plans for three different sizes of Aussie mountain doodles with many colors.What makes your program special?
My dogs and puppies all live in my house with me where they get as much attention and love as possible. I believe in breeding to improve the breed/mix so I will not breed dogs unless I feel they have all the right genetics and temperaments. I plan to do OFA testing in the future as well.Where do your breeding dogs live?

About Alex
Alex is an Australian Mountain Doodle with slightly more Bernese than Aussie and is about half poodle. He is genetically clear via Embark (link uploaded). He is the best boy with a loving, calm, obedient temperament and the most gorgeous blue eyes! He was the inspiration for my breeding program and one of my goals is to create more dogs similar to him.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Katherine is a top notch breeder. She definitely shows the love towards her pups. When I brought my beautiful pup Dottie home she was already house broke & kennel broke. Katherine the breeder is amazing. This is a very sweet and a very intelligent puppy. She checks on Iris to make sure she is settling in well. She sent toys food and a blanket with her mother’s scent on it. I took Iris to the vet a few days after I got her and my vet said she’s in excellent health. Katherine kept excellent records on my pup. I’ve never purchased a puppy from a breeder but happy to have a wonderful breeder who cares about her pups.
