Breeder of Border Collies

Meet the breeder

I'm Blair z., the breeder behind Shepherd’s Pride located in Fontana, CA. Our dogs and pups are raised in our home and are loved as family. We strive to produce high-quality sports prospects and companions. Our goal is to ensure every dog that comes from our program is set up to live a happy and healthy life and is prepared for its future role when it leaves our care. We provide each of our pups with lots of socialization and love, and we are dedicated to maintaining responsible breeding policies.

Q. & A. with Blair

  • Why did you start breeding?

For me, the journey into breeding Border Collies started over 15 years ago, when I first brought home my own Border Collie and quickly discovered just how amazing and fun this breed truly is. From the moment I welcomed my first Border Collie into my life, I was captivated by their intelligence, energy, and boundless enthusiasm. It wasn’t just their incredible working ability that drew me in, but their eagerness to learn, their deep bond with their owners, and their joyful yet purposeful demeanor. Over the years, as I spent more time with my Border Collie, I began to realize just how much potential this breed has to offer—whether as a loyal companion, an agility star, or a hardworking farm dog. I saw firsthand how well they thrive when they are mentally and physically stimulated, and how deeply they connect with their families. It became clear that I wanted to be a part of ensuring that future generations of Border Collies could share those same incredible qualities.
  • What makes your program special?

Breeding Border Collies has been a dream of mine, and it’s a journey I embarked on with a deep sense of responsibility and a passion for the breed. I’ve dedicated myself to understanding every aspect of their health, temperament, and working abilities, and I am committed to producing puppies that reflect the true nature of this extraordinary breed. For me, it’s not just about breeding—it’s about contributing to the future of a breed that has given me so much joy and fulfillment over the years.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have smooth coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and white and brindle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
