Q. & A. with Stephanie
Why did you start breeding?
I started breeding Dachshunds in 2021. I've been a hedgehog & other exotics breeder. I started breeding in 2014, becoming nationally known (SHExotics). I fell in love with Dachshunds and wanted to better the breed.
What makes your program special?
I raise all my pups in my home. We have 1 litter a year. I provide all my pups with love, care and one on one time. My Dachshunds are all health/DNA tested to make sure we are producing healthy pups. All pups are vet checked, vaccinated, microchipped and come with a 1 year guarantee. I start to potty train the pups before they leave. They will be socialized before leaving my home. I keep them until they are 10-12 weeks old.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include smooth and longhaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include piebald, sable, cream, red, chocolate, fawn (isabella), brindle, fawn (isabella) and tan, chocolate and cream, and blue and cream. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

I am so happy with my experience of SHExotics. Stephanie sent pics weekly of Stevie showing her growth and countdown til we were able to pick her up. Sent Stevie home with a goody bag, going above and beyond. Stephanie has reached out to see how Stevie has adjusted being home, which shows she really does love these pups and everything to do with breeding.
