I'm Christine G., the breeder behind Shih Tzu Reign located in Kempner, TX. We are pet owners first and foremost. All of our puppies are raised as members of our family until they’re ready to join yours! Our dogs stole our hearts right from the start and we found ourselves wanting to get more involved. Breeding was a natural next step and we haven’t looked back since!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    As a military veteran, my life has been filled with duty, discipline, and resilience. Yet, nothing prepared me for the profound joy that would come from a small, furry companion. Seven years ago, my life changed when I welcomed my first Shih Tzus into my home. From the moment I laid eyes on that little bundle of joy, I felt an instant connection. Their playful antics and loving nature brought warmth to my heart and a sense of peace that I desperately needed after my service. This little Shih Tzu wasn’t just a pet; they became a source of comfort and companionship, brightening my days in ways I never anticipated. The loyalty and affection they showed me inspired a deep desire to share this joy with others. I realized that every household deserves a furry friend to bring love and laughter into their lives. Driven by this newfound passion, I felt the call to create a place where exceptional Shih Tzus could thrive and find their forever homes. Thus, Shih Tzu Reign was born. My mission is to ensure that each puppy I raise embodies the health, temperament, and structure that make Shih Tzus such beloved companions. With every breeding decision I make, I strive to honor the love and joy my first Shih Tzu brought into my life. I work diligently within the Shih Tzu community to continuously improve my breeding program, ensuring that each puppy is not just a pet, but a cherished family member ready to spread happiness. Getting a puppy from Christine

Christine partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

Puppy prices include a $800 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    Christine is a breeder who truly cares about her puppies and what families they go to. I know a lot of people showed interested in Blossom, but Christine was picky on who this little girl was going to go home to, and I am so grateful it was me. Christine wanted to keep Blossom a bit longer due to her size, and I think that shows how much she cares, that she isn't letting puppies leave ASAP just because they technically can. During the weeks before pick up, she kept me up to date with photos and videos. I flew from Los Angeles to Austin, and only had a couple hours layover to pick up my girl, and Christine was there on time so the whole handover process went smoothly. Blossom was already paper pee pad trained, and the next day I was able to transition her to a faux grass pad effortlessly. I was also able to trim her nails with ease as well (proof of early grooming exposure), and she picks up on training very quickly. Everyone who has met Blossom, adores her and compliments on how friendly she is. She went to puppy playschool and played well with others. Truly, I couldn't ask for a better puppy. And then now, it's been a couple months, and we still check in with Christine. This is a family that we are delighted to be a part of!

    Christine was a great breeder to get my dog from. Sent me pictures all the time and little videos knowledgeable about all the things that can happen things to do for your little Shih Tzu was on top of her shots at all times. We live in North Carolina and Christine is in Texas. We arranged everything with her and all went well. She met us at our hotel went over all our health papers and shots. I was very impressed with her and also her sweet little girl that handed us our little Willow. I would highly recommend Christine to anyone. Her puppies are absolutely beautiful and on top of it. My little girl goes right to her pee pad has never had an accident. I’m so impressed with this. Thanks again to Christine.
