I'm Jenny Lind A., the breeder behind Shiloh Ridge Dachshunds located in Adamsville, TN. All of our dogs and puppies are bred, raised, and loved indoors to produce happy, healthy puppies for those seeking the best family companion! We prioritize giving each dog and puppy the best care that we can. We love this breed, and are dedicated to improving the breed. Our dogs are carefully selected and genetically health tested with the goal always in mind to better the breed.
Q. & A. with Jenny Lind
Why did you start breeding?
I have had dachshunds since I was 7 years old. My stepdad was the one who introduced me and my mother to the breed. We had our first dachshund together. She was a smooth coat red. Her name was Gretchen. We had one litter with her when I was in 4th grade and I fell in love then. I knew one day I wanted to have more puppies once I was older. Once I got into my twenties and got established with a house, I wanted to breed dachshunds in order to better the breed, by carefully selecting each parent, and health testing. I’m very selective on what dogs I want for my program. I also wanted to allow my children to enjoy and have the same love for dachshunds that I always did growing up. My oldest daughter decided after always being an animal lover, that she was going to school to become a veterinarian. My other 3 children love all of our dogs. They are socialized daily. I have a nursing license and worked on and off for almost 9 years. Now that I have my two youngest kids, I wanted to stay at home with them as much as possible. I decided to become a stay at home momma and dachshund momma too. Since I stay at home, I have all my time to devote to not only my family, but my dachshund babies too. Some of the puppies that I have raised now live in many states such as Florida, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Arizona, Illinois, Nevada, Arkansas, Pennsylvania, Texas, California and many more states. All of us here at Shiloh Ridge Dachshunds love on and pre-spoil our babies before they go to their forever home. We are truly a Dachshund loving family.
What makes your program special?
My dogs and puppies are raised inside our home by our family. Our dogs and puppies are loved and socialized daily by my husband and I and my children, and they are given the best care that we can provide. I keep all of our dogs and puppies UTD on shots, prevention treatments, and vet visits. I strive to improve the breed by breeding for the best qualities and temperament. My puppies go home at 8 weeks old pre-spoiled and are ready to give endless amounts of love. We love when families name their puppies before they go home. We love watching that puppy learn his or her name before they meet their new family. My kids love to have a name to be able to call each puppy.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include fawn (isabella) and tan, blue and tan, chocolate and tan, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

“My dapples and any dilutes are $2500. My other color combinations and patterns are $2300. All of my adult dogs are health tested with Embark before breeding. A $300 deposit is required to reserve the puppy of your choice once I start accepting deposits on a new litter. Puppies go home with their AKC registration papers and health records. They receive their first set of vaccinations, a physical exam given by our vet, and a fecal exam to check for any worms or parasites. They also get worming treatments every two weeks until they leave at 8 weeks old. They also come with a one year health guarantee on anything congenital. I start them on puppy pad training at 3-4 weeks old. They also come home with a Royal Canin puppy kit, a blanket with mom’s and sibling’s scent on it, puppy pads, treats, toys, and puppy waste bags. All deposits are the same regardless of color, coat type, or gender. My deposits are non-refundable unless something happens to the puppy before it goes home. In that case, I would refund the deposit or it can be applied to another puppy.”
