Callie B.

Breeder of Border Collies

Meet the breeder

I'm Callie B., the breeder behind Shorewind Border Collies located in Sylvania, GA. As a purposeful border collie breeder, my focus is on preserving the characteristics of the border collie while understanding the lifestyle of the average pet owner. My puppies make wonderful members of an active family and will thrive with proper training, socialization and exercise. If you are not committed to this criteria, this isn't the breed for you. Like many breeds, border collies can have several health related problems that can lead to heartbreak and financial burdens. Each dog I choose for my breeding program is genetically clear of border collie health related diseases and hip dysplasia. All of my litters are bred with purpose and planned well in advance resulting in predictable border collie breed type with lower drive and less arousal. Due to my purposeful breeding. I have a responsibility to each puppy I have brought into this world and am only looking for only the BEST homes. If you are not willing to modify your lifestyle to include an interactive future for this breed, it is not for you. These puppies should excel in agility, conformation, obedience as well as other AKC sports with proper training and commitment. Photos and more information can also be found with google search for Shorewind Border collies.

Q. & A. with Callie

  • What makes your program special?

I breed with the purpose of preserving the border collie and improving the overall health of the breed. I do not simply breed dogs for the sale of puppies. I breed primarily for myself to improve my lines with a deep respect for the breed. After selecting a puppy for myself, I have the difficult and emotional task of placing the others in responsible committed homes
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have rough coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and gold. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
