I'm Danielle W., the breeder behind S.I. Aussie located in Makanda, IL. We are a small, family-based Australian Shepherd breeder in Southern Illinois. At S.I. Aussies, we focus on raising healthy, well-rounded puppies with sound structure, wonderful temperaments, and early socialization. Each puppy is raised with love and care, preparing them for their forever family.

Why did you start breeding?
After bringing home our first Australian Shepherd, we fell in love with the breed’s intelligence, loyalty, and affectionate nature. Our Aussie showed us what our family had been missing and inspired us to share this amazing breed with other families looking for a devoted companion.What makes your program special?
We focus on temperament, structure, training, and early socialization. Our adult Aussies receive professional training, and our puppies are raised with positive experiences to prepare them for family life. Our goal is to produce loving, well-rounded companions that thrive in their forever homes.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red & white, red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Danielle partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Price includes up-to-date vaccinations, routine deworming, early socialization, and a special goodie bag to help your puppy get off to a happy, healthy start in their new home. Your deposit secures your place in line to choose your puppy. Deposit amounts are the same regardless of gender, color, or size.”

Parent health testing
Good level

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
