I'm Donna S., the breeder behind Sidanelv Dachshunds located in Bluff City, TN. We are a small in-home breeder who is passionate about producing healthy, loving, diabetic alert dogs for those in need. My goal is to prepare all my Dachshunds to excel in their chosen field, whether that be working, showing, or as an active companion.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Being a mom to a type 1 diabetic and seeing so many people get scammed for unqualified service dogs, pushed me to begin my breeding program. My son and I decided that the only way we could help was to breed healthy, loving puppies that could provide a service for families in need.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our puppies will have the opportunity to save lives and provide individuals with special needs, independence, and a loving, loyal companion.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include cream, red, black and cream, chocolate and cream, chocolate and tan, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Donna

Donna has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $500 deposit and between $2,300 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Puppies are current on vaccines and dewormed. Puppies have their microchips with lifetime enrollment to AKC reunited and 30 days of Trupanion. Refundable if I have to cancel the sale of the puppy for unknown circumstances. If buyer backs out or does not respond to pick up dates deposits are no longer refundable. I am willing to work with families if complications arise.”

Donna may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
