I'm Jacqueline S., the breeder behind Sidels Miniature Pinscher located in Concord, CA. I am dedicated to breeding Miniature Pinschers that are true to breed type, characteristics, and free of hereditary disease. I do not breed or endorse the breeding of dilutes or non-AKC/MPCA breed standard colors such as blue, fawn, tan, harlequin, or brindle, nor do I endorse mixed breeding,s. All of my dogs are raised and live in my home as my companions. When I do have a litter, they are whelped with me right there and I start the socialization process immediately. I am a firm believer in educating people about this breed and I will gab your ear off when it comes to dog talk–any breed! So please ask me anything…if I can't answer it correctly; I will get you the answer.
Q. & A. with Jacqueline
Why did you start breeding?
My passion for dogs stemmed from my mother. I received my 1st Min Pin in 1980 to show in Jr. Showmanship, and I have been hooked ever since. I am a firm believer in educating people about this breed and improving it in an ethical way, continuing on with my quality lines.
What makes your program special?
We have won Best in Show, Best in Specialty Shows multiple times, my dogs are a also working dogs in the performance venue, I do structural health testing, per O.F.A guidelines and I work with many champion dogs. All dogs that are sold are also in contract to be returned to me at any point in their life if you are no longer able to keep them. I have dedicated my life to this breed, and I thoroughly love answering questions and educating people of the wildly wonderful Min Pin, so please feel free to ask me anything.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Legg-Calve-Perthes (OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
OFA/CHIC DNA Repository
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
