Karen S.

Breeder of Shetland Sheepdogs

Meet the breeder

I'm Karen S., the breeder behind Sierer Farms Shetland Sheepdogs located in Defiance, OH. I produce pups that will continue to excel in their chosen field, whether that be working, showing, or as an active companion. My focus is on maintaining the Shetland Sheepdog breed standard by raising structurally sound and correct puppies with excellent temperaments.

Q. & A. with Karen

  • Why did you start breeding?

I am involved in the show world and wanted to not only produce beautiful puppies and continue my show line, but to promote responsible breeding in order to ensure that the Shetland Sheepdog will continue to thrive for generations to come.
  • What makes your program special?

It is an honor to represent this breed and create opportunities for others to experience the same joy that I've found in raising these wonderful dogs. My heavy involvement in the show world speaks to the standards that I breed my dogs by. I will always stand behind my puppies.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
