I'm Heather S., the breeder behind SierraVu Minis located in Ballico, CA. We are a small hobby breeder that shows and breeds Yorkies and Mini American Shepherds (Mini Aussies). All of our pups are raised in our home, co-mingling with cats and adult dogs. Our dogs are an integral part of our family, and we hope they will become an integral part of yours. All pups will have the appropriate shots for their age and deworming. Pups will also be micro-chipped. We provide a one-year health guarantee. Please contact us with your questions.

Why did you start breeding?
I have been involved with dogs and worked with dogs since a teenager.What makes your program special?
Family based. We have family members both young and old helping to socialize our pups.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Yorkshire Terrier puppies include blue and gold and black and gold. Miniature American Shepherd puppies include red tri-color, black tri, red merle, and blue merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Dakota, Is the most loving, cuddly, affectionate Mini we have, We call her " Snuggle Shepherd". Her past pups have also had the same charteristics. We have had many families praise this wonderful quality and now have multiple SierraVu pups. She still is a wonderful ranch dog and very athletic but she is a cuddler.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
DNA Disease Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
