Meet the breeder

I'm Tom K., the breeder behind Silver Lake Labs located in Waterville, MN. My primary focus is to produce dogs with strong working ability, solid temperaments, great health, and sound structure. I am conscious of the overall health, longevity, and genetics of both my breeding dogs and the puppies I produce. My puppies are well-rounded and will excel in any adventure with their new family.

Q. & A. with Tom

  • Why did you start breeding?

I love this breed. My dogs have brought me so much joy and happiness that I wanted to give back to the breed by producing the highest quality dogs and providing them with a wonderful life. My breeding program strives to maintain the unique characteristics of the breed while also placing an emphasis on producing Labradors of superior health, temperament, and working drives.
  • What makes your program special?

I truly admire Labrador Retrievers and am dedicated to looking out for the breed as a whole. I know the health and status of every dog I have bred and am proud of the temperament, conformation, and working drives of my puppies. I can provide extensive knowledge and guidance for any family looking to adopt one of these wonderful dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
