I'm Paige R., the breeder behind Silver River Mini Aussies located in Ocala, FL. We have owned Mini Aussies for 8 years and absolutely adore the breed. They are smart, energetic, and intuitive. They are the perfect dog for a person or family with an active lifestyle who wants a dog that will bond tightly with them. Ours are bred to have excellent temperament and adaptability.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We are long term dog people! A former show family for English Mastiffs, it had been 20 years since we had a litter of puppies. Discovering Mini Aussies and the amazing dogs they are, we began researching the possibility of providing genetically sound, solid-temperament family dogs to our community. Natasha, a blue-eyed black tri, will be the dam of our next litter, and the sire is a red merle.

  • What makes your program special?

    We believe in ethical limited breeding for sound temperament with genetic testing for health. Educating potential owners on the needs and temperaments of the Miniature Australian Shepherd is paramount to our kennel; we want to be sure that each of our puppies goes to a home that understands the breed and that it is the best fit for them, not just that they are pretty. The pretty is just a bonus!

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include blue merle, black tri, red tri, and red merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $200 refundable deposit and between $1,800 - $2,100 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    Paige was amazing from my initial contact to any questions we may have had after. She was very honest and I felt like I could trust her! I had been looking for the perfect healthy puppy for months before reaching out to Paige. I was looking for a dog that was genetically tested and thoughtfully paired. Some breeders checked some of the boxes but Paige met them all. Even though we would have to fly into Florida from North Carolina it was worth the extra effort. This dog was going to grow up with my daughters so it meant a lot to me to carefully pick the perfect dog. Lilly came to our house and fit in like she was born to be with us. She is everything we wanted and more! Her temperament and personality is perfect not only for us humans but for our collie, Levi. They love each other and play so well together. Lilly is healthy, smart, sweet, and adorable. She was easily trained and learned commands easily from the start. She is not yappy, rarely barks, loves to run around with our dog and play with us but knows how to settle down and lay at our feet when the time comes.     First and foremost this was our first experience through Good Dog , the process was very forthright, Paige and her family ( Silver River Mini Aussies ) did an amazing job with her pups , you can really tell by the temperament of my Pup that he was truly loved and enjoys being in a family setting . From the attention to the smallest details when it comes to health and hygiene while maintaining a loving environment for pups and mom who is such a good girl ( Nat ) . Shaggy has become an essential part of my family and if we ever decide to add to our flock I would most certainly be giving Paige and her family and Silver River Mini Aussies a call .

    This was our first breeder experience and we would absolutely do it again because Paige was so pleasant to work with. My husband and I had been looking for a new addition to our family for a few months on Good Dog, then one day we came across “Anna Beth” (now Reya). She was only 2 weeks old from the first pictures we saw. We did a deep dive on Silver River Mini Aussies just to make sure we were making the right decision. After reading reviews of the past puppies, breeding practices, and understanding the health of the parents we knew we had to bring Reya home with us. Once we put our deposit down Paige was very quick to make us feel at ease and feel part of Reya’s life from the very beginning. Paige answered all of our questions and sent us pictures every other day and gave us updates on what milestones the puppies reached. She also updated their Instagram page which was awesome. We were able to visit Reya at 5 weeks and then we brought her home at 8.5 weeks. Reya right now is about 12.5 weeks and we love her so much already. She’s is so smart, goofy, and fun. We want to thank Silver River Mini Aussies for the great experience and providing us with a loved one.

    We are so happy to have a new little one join our family! Keira is such a sweet little girl with a great temperament. She get’s along with kids and elderly and most importantly she loves our older doggo immensely. She is inseparable now from her older brother. They aren’t joking when they say Aussie are extremely smart. Keira has been very easy to train and she loves learning new tricks and puzzles. I couldn’t recommend this breed enough! I’ve grown up with dogs all my life and for the last 10 years I’ve dreamed of getting an Australian Shepherd. This was our first time buying from a breeder. Paige made me and my mom feel very comfortable during the whole process. The application process was very easy and straightforward. Once we were approved Paige contacted us and kept in communication regularly. She even sent us pictures and videos so we could watch our baby girl grow! An experience we are very thankful for as we will keep these memories with us furever. Everyone else we know said their breeder never sent them progress photos and videos so we felt VERY spoiled. Hehe! When it was time to pick up Keira at the ranch, we also got to meet Keira’s mother (Nat) and her siblings. It was such a great family centered environment that made us feel cozy. Paige also sent us home with a cute goodie bag and said if we ever have any questions, to never hesitate to contact her. Paige and her family / Silver River Mini Aussie have been a pleasure to work with.     We were made part of Sky’s life from the moment we met her. Paige regularly sent us pics and videos to allow us to see Sky grow. She also gave us a goodie bag when we picked Sky up that contained not only her documentation and food, but also a toy and framed picture of Sky that she had used in the ad we had answered. The sticker on the back said the pic was so we could remember what she looked like as a puppy. This breeder not only has great bloodline dogs, her customer service and care for her animals is top notch.
