I'm Lynnette S., the breeder behind Simpson Family retrievers and Rattes located in Jamesville, NC. We breed both to provide families with loving dogs' fantastic traits with each generation. Our Labradors are family raised and daily handle. We have a shown history of quality labs that make great hunters as well as family pets. All of the parents to the litters are akc registered and genetically tested and are chic certified through OFA .

  • Why did you start breeding?

    We started breeding 18 years ago when my daughter insisted on getting a puppy from a family member who had a little runt that she fell in love with
  • What makes your program special?

    We are extremely hands on with our pups, they have their own puppy barn that is set up wi toys that engage them and challenge them to explore their environment.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Lynnette

Lynnette has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Lynnette partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

Price

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and $1,600 final payment, before taxes & fees.

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Parent health testing

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
