I'm Sarah T., the breeder behind SJs Dachshunds located in Woodland, WA. All puppies are AKC with limited rights. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament, not for color. These dogs are my family first and are very loved! Parents are Embark health tested assuring our puppies are set up for success! Let's see if we have the perfect Dachshund to add to your family!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I got my first Standard smooth coat Red dachshund when I was 9 years old. My mother bred short-haired dachshunds as I was growing up and as an adult I decided I wanted to start my own program, but with longhaired dachshunds.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include cream, red, black, brindle, chocolate and cream, black and cream, black and tan, chocolate and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Sarah

Sarah has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Sarah partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“I try and match each puppy based off what tye buyer is looking for in a dog, sometimes color or pattern is important to them. I match that if I can, temperament is above all else!”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,500 - $4,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes AKC registration-limited, 30 days pet insurance through AKC, de worming, and first and second rounds of puppy shots. Deposit of $500 comes off the total amount of the puppy and is non-refundable. All puppies are the same price regardless of color, pattern, or sex.”

Sarah may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Sarah was so wonderful to work with! She was incredibly communicative and always sent updates and pictures leading up to pickup. The reservation process was very clear, and she was great at answering my endless list of questions regarding the contract and giving me general tips and tricks for bringing home a dachshund puppy. This is our first dog and first time using GoodDog, so we were a bit nervous about traveling to pick up a puppy (from CA to WA), but Sarah was amazing - we felt complete trust in her throughout the entire process.
