I'm Briley K., the breeder behind Skyborne Australian Shepherds located in Woodford, VA. We focus on show and performance puppies with great temperaments and a natural off-switch. Briley has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Briley partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

“Our price does not vary based off color or gender. We have a pet price and a show/breed price. All puppies are placed on strict contracts.”
Briley may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Briley offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Briley directly.
When you pay and communicate on Good Dog, you’re covered by Payment Protection.

Australian Shepherd
About Kraken
Kraken is our class clown. He has an exuberance for life and doesn’t have a serious bone in his body which works both with and against us. I love his enthusiastic, happy-go-lucky, sun is always shining personality - he definitely knows how to make you laugh! His enthusiam for life makes him very animated which carries over in all aspects of what we do; whether that be trials, training, day to day activities and everything in between. He reminds me to always have a positive outlook in all things we do, win or lose.

About Lyric
Lyric believes that she is the Queen of the house and all things we do our done for her. She is a sassy, opinionated, and at times, very stubborn dog. She is also kind hearted, empathetic, and gives you her all in all things she does. She is my first Bred By CH, has made me a better handler and has taught me many lessons. She loves Dock Diving, or anything to do with water, a good game of disc and anything that involves us doing fun activities. She loves agility, although she does wish weave poles didn’t exist. She loves to carry toys around, bark at you if you’re not doing things fast enough, and makes the best errand running and movie buddy.

About Halo
Halo is a very sweet girl with loads of personality. She loves to carry her toys around the house and always has something in her mouth! I love to tell her to 'Go get your baby' and she will run to the toy bin and select whichever toy suits her fancy at that time. She is very affectionate and gives the best cuddles. One of my favorite things about her is she has the biggest aussie grin.

About Zoom
Zoom is a sweet, affectionate girl who loves to spend her days lounging on the couch or in bed. If she isn’t underfoot, I will always know where to find her. She is an easy dog to live with and doesn’t require much to keep her both mentally and physically happy. She makes a wonderful active pet and hiking companion. When it comes to sports, her favorite thing is FCAT! She has excellent prey drive and enjoys chasing trash bunnies. When it comes to the conformation ring, she can easily be handed off to others to show. Many professionals, owner/breeders and handlers alike, will often comment stating that she is a stunning dog with sound movement. Her biggest obstacle in the ring are her blue eyes. I always joke, telling her she’s always the bridesmaid and never the bride.

Skyborne Australian Shepherds reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Australian Shepherds.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Dentition
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA), Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), PawPrint Genetic Panel (Breed Specific)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

We are so happy to have found Briley on Good Dog. Her knowledge about the breed and her commitment to the highest standards of raising Australian Shepherds proved indispensable to my family as we searched for our forever companion. We couldn't be happier with Hollywood, our now two-year-old male Australian Shepherd. He's happy, loving, and healthy with an exceptionally social personality. Briley's responsible breeding practices ensure that her puppies have ideal temperaments, not only only for companionship but also for competition. Hollywood loves agility training. Our only regret is not starting sooner!
