Meet the breeder

I'm Landin D., the breeder behind Skyland Golden Retrievers located in Lebanon, IN. We believe it is important to show our breeding dogs for further verification of the quality and type we aim to produce. To raise the healthiest puppies possible, we only breed dogs who have passed all of their OFA Hip, Elbow, Heart and Eye clearances as well as a UC Davis Golden Retriever Health Panel. We aim to produce puppies who are not only healthy, but also conformationally correct with wonderful temperaments.

Q. & A. with Landin

  • Why did you start breeding?

I got into breeding from a great friend of mine that I have known for over 15 years. Through his mentorship (and experience in the breed of golden retrievers of over 40 years), he has guided me to create the program that I have today.
  • What makes your program special?

We work directly with two top mentors who have been breeding and showing AKC Golden Retrievers for decades at the highest levels of competion (GRCA National Speciality, AKC Nationals and Westminster). We also work directly with a top show ring handler who has won consistently at the same highest levels of competition. Our dogs are continuously evaluated by us and these individuals.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
