Meet the breeder

I'm Katelyn R., the breeder behind Skyward Farms located in Atascadero, PA.

Q. & A. with Katelyn

  • Why did you start breeding?

How I got into breeding is a long story, but I’ll try to keep it short. I had bought a dog from a responsible conformation/sport border collie breeder. I had planned to pursue an agility and obedience career with my future dog. My dog's breeder convinced me to take conformation handling classes with her and when I was ready she took me to my first dog show. The rest is history.
  • What makes your program special?

In my breeding program, I strive to create a work of art. To breed a dog with both Brains and beauty. My dogs offer some of the best genetics from all over the world. 3 out of my 4 dogs are imported from the most well know and respected breeders in their fields. They have unmatched instincts, but most importantly they have a wonderful off switch that allows them to be loyal, loving family members.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
