Meet the breeder

I'm Mattie L., the breeder behind Slash O Kennels located in Casa Grande, AZ. We are experienced, reputable Border Collie and French bulldog breeders. We take great pride in our dogs, our puppies, and our program. Our dogs are excellent working dogs, and we are proud to continue their line. We breed both to provide families with loving and capable companions and to improve upon our dogs' fantastic traits with each generation.

Q. & A. with Mattie

  • Why did you start breeding?

Raised on a ranch we always had babies of some sort around. My dad raised kelpies and I loved getting to be apart of welcoming these new babies into the world. I take pride in my border collies and the capabilities they have. My frenchies are my companions and I wanted to be able to offer a safe/reliable place for people to find the same joy in the breed that I have found.
  • What makes your program special?

The fact that we offer training along with our puppies. We take pride in people having a handle on their dogs and understand the importance of obedience.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our Dachshund puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our Dachshund puppies have longhaired coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our Dachshund puppies are cream. French Bulldog puppies are fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
