I'm Kay S., the breeder behind Small World Aussies located in Wakita, OK. We are a small, family-run program that takes a special interest in every individual pup. We have outstanding Aussies with wonderful temperaments and nice conformation. Our goal is to produce puppies that can compete in a variety of venues, as well as be faithful friends to their loving families.
Q. & A. with Kay
Why did you start breeding?
I have had some breed of herding dogs all my life. My grandfather had them on our farm. I had a special one when I was a teenager and always loved them every since then. She was a blue merle standard. I lost her too early. The other special one was a male that only liked me and my grandfather his name was “dog” he lived a long time. They are just special kind of dogs that pick their people.
What makes your program special?
I give my puppies special attention and start training them early. I work on litter box training at 3 weeks and start house breaking at 6 weeks. I also try to start working on kennel/crate training before they leave. All puppies are sold as pet only.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red, black, blue merle, and red merle. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Working with Kay was amazing! We picked our pup up in OK and drove back to WA with him. Kay made sure we had everything we would need for our trip. My boy Rip has been a great addition to the family! He already was potty trained, knew some basic commands and was well on his way to being crate trained. Rip is a happy, healthy, well adjusted and absolutely beautiful pup! He is so smart and such a good boy! He will be one year in May and we could not be happier. Kay has continued to be of great support with any questions I have. I highly recommend working with her!

Small World Aussies is a great breeder to work with. Kay cares about our babies as much as we do. She sent home a wealth of helpful information and supplies for my baby. She was very responsive and sent updates along with pictures and videos often. I had a lot of hesitations getting a puppy online. I was grateful to work with someone like Kay. The best part is we have an amazing addition to our family our Sweet Sadie Baby.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
