After buyers complete the application and screening process, Jessica partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“Registration and Health All Puppies will come with AKC limited registration; meaning no breeding rights. Puppies will receive their 1st vaccination at 6 weeks of age. (They will need follow up boosters at 9,12 and 16 weeks) Dewormed at 2,4,6 and 8 weeks old Microchipped Tails are docked and dew claws are removed . Our total deposit is $500 Your deposit is applied to your total balance. The deposit is non-refundable if the buyer defaults on the purchase of puppy for any reason. We do understand that life happens and you have to make the tough decision to wait on a puppy. We will happily work with you to move to another waiting list. Smokey Mountain Vizslas will refund deposit if puppy reserved cannot be sold due to serious illness or death. Please understand that there are no guarantees on a time frame for your puppy. We list specific dates and a specific breeding pair when we open our waiting list for males and females. But Mother nature is the one in control and there are things than can happen that are not always in the favor of our process. Correct gender being born Small litters A mother aborts a litter early We have no way to predict the amount or the gender of each puppy. In the event that a situation like this happens, we will be happy to transfer your deposit to the next available litter. Deposits are to secure your puppy until the agreed upon pickup date. Puppies cannot be held without a deposit.”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
