I'm Memory W., the breeder behind Smokey Pines Dachshunds located in Onalaska, TX. We love this breed and the experience of having litters! Our mission is to raise pups that are set to become the best companions, while also focusing on bettering the breed in temperament and structure. We find so much joy in watching our puppies grow and develop their own unique personalities. We can’t wait for you to meet your next loving and loyal companion!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I’ve always had a love for dachshunds, they are great for hunting and are amazing family companions. Mine loved to track when we hunted and got along well with my young kids, so I decided to start breeding them to give other families the opportunity to have such amazing companions.

  • What makes your program special?

    We cherish each of our dogs and puppies, and we do everything we can to make sure that they get the best lives possible. That includes everything from choosing healthy parents with good temperaments, to proper socialization and daily care, to placing them in loving homes with wonderful families. We strive to provide each of our puppies and their families with a truly positive experience!

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies include miniature and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include longhaired, smooth, and wirehaired coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include piebald, cream, red, wild boar, chocolate, brindle, black and tan, black and cream, chocolate and cream, chocolate and tan, fawn (isabella) and cream, fawn (isabella) and tan, and dapple. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Memory

Memory has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Memory partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Puppy prices include a $600 non-refundable deposit and between $900 - $3,200 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Appropriate registration paperwork, and a tote full of goodies to help with their transition. ANY AND ALL PAYMENTS MADE ARE NONREFUNDABLE. Deposit secures your puppy immediately once it is received. It will be to hold puppy for you and will not be refunded because you change your mind or purchase elsewhere. ALL DEPOSITS ARE NONREFUNDABLE AND WILL NOT BE RETURNED FOR ANY REASON!”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
