I'm Mary B., the breeder behind Smol Beans Kennel located in Manning, SC. We offer loving, beautiful companions in small sizes. Our dogs are chosen and bred for health, temperament, and the elegant complementing of structures. Because our program is small and home-based, we're able to give each dog and puppy all of the attention and care that they need to develop and thrive. Our dogs are our family, and we give that same love to each puppy as we prepare them to join their forever homes.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I hope to help families find their puppies from responsible and ethical sources to build a better and safer world for our dogs. Shihpoos are an incredible breed, and I decided to start my program in order to preserve the wonderful qualities I found in my dogs. They are bed for their exceptional coats and family-friendly personalities! I know that each puppy will become a treasured family member.

  • What makes your program special?

    My dogs are an integral part of my family and daily life. This creates the ideal environment for puppies. From birth, they grow in a secure, loving environment where they know that they matter to their family -- that they have a purpose. Every litter is always a little different, but it is so fulfilling to see the different personalities and such a joy and challenge to hand-raise each puppy. I love watching them blossom!

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies are tiny size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Mary

Mary has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $200 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $2,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Included with your puppy is the guarantee, veterinarian administered puppy care including an exam, the first round of shots, and deworming, breeder support, 1-month free Trupanion pet insurance, and any applicable paperwork. All puppies in a given litter are the same price regardless of gender or color. The price of the litter will be determined and disclosed prior to accepting deposits.”

Contract & health guarantee

Mary may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
