I'm Mary D., the breeder behind SnowRidge Australian Shepherds located in Cazenovia, NY. We are a small hobby program. We are dedicated to raising healthy sound Australian Shepherds which exemplify the breed standard. We are grateful to those who have mentored us over the years and for the great friendships this wonderful breed has provided.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I wanted to see the breed continue to be bred to the standard.
  • What makes your program special?

    We are breeders who do everything we can to better the breed and ensure our dogs and puppies are able to get the very most out of life.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include red merle, blue merle, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Mary may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
