I'm Katie H., the breeder behind SoCal/Promise Land Border Collies located in Rocky, OK. Our goal is to place healthy, well-rounded pups with perfect families. We believe Border Collies can be bred for amazing purposes! They can be used for service, emotional support, and therapy as well as work, family, or sports dogs. We strive to breed amazing pups and work hand in hand with their new family to train them to be the dog they need.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I love the Border Collie breed. They are just amazing animals. I am currently working with a disabled Vet who has PTSD. The dog knows when he is upset, and will lay her head in his lap. He immediately calms down! I want to breed pups to help more people like this! They can learn amazing things to help different people. They are also Great Working Dogs, or Family Dogs!

  • What makes your program special?

    We want to work hand in hand with the new families to train their puppies -- from family dog, working dog to service dog! We want to make a difference in people’s lives. So many people struggle with PTSD, anxiety, depression, and more, and this breed is perfect to help people in these places. They are the most loving, loyal, and intelligent breed I have ever worked with and perfect for this job!

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include smooth and rough coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include tri-color, blue merle, red merle, saddleback sable, and white and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Katie

Katie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Also included are AKC registration, vaccinations, deworming, puppy socialization, obedience training, and other specialized training depending on the family's needs. DNA testing crate training. The Deposit is Due when a puppy has been assigned to you and your Family and agreed upon by breeder Non- refundable. First come first serve.”

Contract & health guarantee

Katie may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    It was a pleasure working with Katie. She was responsive and patient answering all of our questions. We had a lot. It was a good experience and we now have a wonderful new family member (Spring), now called Molly. She has been with us about 3 weeks now. She loves to run, play, and has learned many new tricks. Keeps us going. She loves playing ball and really like her new kiddie pool. We are so thankful we were able to bring Molly into our family and thankful for Katie to make it happen.     So here we are, a couple weeks after getting our sweet Jazz. Katie did such a wonderful job with him and I can tell she really took her time with him and worked with him. He is great with sit and knows down pretty well. He has been so easy to work with and train. He is great with his manners including manding, house training, crate training, and night sleeping. I would highly recommend her if you are looking for a border collie pup. I am so happy that I found her and would buy from her again in a heartbeat. She truly cares about her puppies.
