I'm Ashley M., the breeder behind SoCo Aussies located in Oxford, FL. We are proud to raise and offer our Australian Shepherd puppies to loving, suitable homes. Our dogs aren’t just part of our program—they are part of our family. We prioritize their health, temperament, and overall well-being, ensuring each one is health tested, well cared for, and given the attention they deserve. Our dogs enjoy daily life on our large property, where they have the freedom to run and play, and they are raised around children and other animals to promote strong, social temperaments.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Love adventure? You’ll love this breed. My heart has been with Australian Shepherds since I was a kid, but my journey really began at eighteen with my first boy, SoCo (Southern Comfort). He was the kind of dog you never forget—my shadow, my adventure partner, and the definition of a perfect family dog. After 13 incredible years with him, I knew this wasn’t just a love—it was a calling. Today, I’m dedicated to raising Australian Shepherds with sound minds, strong health, and the kind of temperament that makes them unforgettable.

  • What makes your program special?

    We give each of our dogs and puppies the individual attention they deserve. All of our dogs are registered through respected registries such as AKC and ASDR, but we believe registration alone does not define quality or health. That’s why we prioritize genetic health testing for all of our parent dogs, and we proudly share those results on our website for full transparency. Healthy parents are the foundation of healthy puppies. From the very beginning, we focus on raising well-rounded dogs with strong temperaments. While mom does most of the work early on, we ensure every puppy is kept warm, safe, and clean. Starting at just three days old, puppies receive gentle handling and Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS). Raised in our home alongside children and other animals, our puppies grow up in a loving, social environment—setting them up for success in their future homes.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include black, red merle, blue merle, red, black tri-color, and red tri-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Ashley

Ashley has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Ashley partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,350 - $2,350 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Puppy price is based on demand and availability of different litters, coat markings, genders etc. The price also includes registration papers, first round of vaccines with health certificate, deworming every 2 weeks. The deposit is non-refundable unless breeder decides otherwise. The deposit will secure your spot on the waitlist or choice of puppy. Picks are determined by the order in which the deposits are received.”

Ashley may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Full Embark Panel, PawPrint Genetic Panel (Breed Specific), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA), DNA Disease Panel, Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    As always Ashley was wonderful to work with! This is our second puppy from her and there is good reason for that -- Ashley breeds the most spectacular dogs. She provides transparency through her full panel health screenings, all available for anyone to see. Both of my dogs have the most amazing temperaments, they're highly intelligent, sweet, affectionate, silly, loving-- just the perfect family dogs. Ashley sends each puppy with a home kit that includes toys, food, puppy blanket that smells like their littermates & mom, chews, vet records and registry papers. My puppies also came potty trained! I'm not kidding, potty training has been an absolute breeze since day one. Ashley is also great at communicating! Every Thursday she'd send me a "pupdate" so I could see how my little guy was doing. She answers any and all questions before and after getting my puppy, she arranged pick up and drop off for them. The entire interaction was seamless and secure. This is someone who genuinely cares about her dogs and who they go to. I've found my soul dogs with Ashley and my family could not be more grateful and feel more complete.     We can’t even remember what life was like before our sweet Hula girl! She has the best demeanor and is so sweet toward all people she meets and other animals. Not to mention she is incredibly smart, playful, and nothing short of a celebrity at the vet. Ashley was so awesome to work with and we are so grateful we got our pup from her. You can tell just how dearly she cares for her pups and she is very knowledgeable about the breed. Ashley always answered my questions and was there whenever I needed help!
