Parent dogs
Jett, dad
Labrador Retriever
About Jett
Jett is a true dual purpose labrador. He has amazing drive for retrieving, is fantastic in the home, and will gladly walk around the show ring too. Truly such a happy boy. He is the first dog we got involved in dog sports with and he has made us so proud! He has done everything that has been asked of him and done it well. Jett is on the taller end of the standard with nice length of leg which has served him well with dock diving, fast cat, and hunt tests.
Ready, mom
Labrador Retriever
About Ready
Ready is a female Labrador Retriever. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Charity decided to make her part of their program. Charity has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Breeder-Reported Testing
Excellent level
Sojourner Labrador Retrievers reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Labrador Retrievers.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
DNA Disease Panel, PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Exercise Induced Collapse (EIC), Centronuclear Myopathy (CNM), D Locus (Dilute) DNA test
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
